How It Started

It started with a listing on a Tuesday afternoon that I almost scrolled past. A boutique space, here in Laguna Beach — the town where I found myself spending more and more time over the years, dreaming about a slower pace of life near the ocean.

I remember sitting at my kitchen table thinking about it for weeks. Eventually, I took the leap. And on a sunny morning, I opened the doors of Sharon’s Laguna Beach for the very first time.

What Laguna Beach Taught Me

You showed up for Sharon’s Laguna Beach in ways I never expected. You came in looking for one piece and stayed to browse for an hour. You brought your daughters, your sisters, and your friends visiting from out of town. You came back season after season.

Why I’m Retiring

I am sixty-five years old. I have been a veterinarian, a wife, a mother, and a boutique owner in one of my favorite places on earth. And I have decided — with a full heart, not a heavy one — that it is time to retire.
